SKIM...Do We Respond to the Milk or the Book?! Just Kidding

Overall I had trouble getting over that some of the things in the story could have been in Skim's mind or what she wanted. When I saw the picture of Skim kissing someone, I didn't know is she had kissed Ms. Archer or if she wanted to kiss her. Their relationship was different after that scene, but I don't know if that was showing Ms. Archer trying to stay somewhat professional or if she felt different after kissing Skim.
Just little things like that kind of distracted me some times during my reading. I liked like the story, kind of depressing, but I picked it up and read it all the way because I was curious. And I'm still curious because I wanted more from the ending.

WOMEN

I like this war poster because it shows the woman as a pretty woman and also strong and can survive on her own.

BODY

This tree is so cool. It looks like a free, dancing body. A strong body that is strong, that can give to others and can provide for itself (the symbol of the tree being a plant and making its own food and giving back the oxygen we need).
TEXT

I see text as something that can set you aside from everyone else. It can set you free and it can let your voice be heard.

SELF-IMAGE

I think if you see yourself in the way where you love yourself, than you'll portray that to everyone else.

Cover Song

I chose Foreigner's 1984 "I Want To Know What Love Is" because I've loved it since the first time I've heard it. I think it's powerful and can be taken in different people who may have certain ideas of love. It came be taken as a guy who has faced many heartbreaks and have found someone he is pleading to show him real love. It can be taken as a guy who wants to see real love among many people. Here is the link to Foreigner's version of "I Want To Know What Love Is"
The cover song was sung by Mariah Carey. I think this brings the meaning of how different people are and the hardships they may face in their life. The videos are different in the sense people are smiling in Mariah's and people don't some together until the end of Foreigner's. I like her version too because it has the woman's tone to it. And the lyrics

I gotta take a little time
A little time to think things over
I better read between the lines
In case I need it when I'm older
Aaaah woah-ah-aah

Now this mountain I must climb
Feels like a world upon my shoulders
And through the clouds I see love shine
It keeps me warm as life grows colder

In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
Can't stop now, I've traveled so far
To change this lonely life

I wanna know what love is
I want you to show me
I wanna feel what love is
I know you can show me
Aaaah woah-oh-ooh

I'm gonna take a little time
A little time to look around me, oooh ooh-ooh ooh-ooh oooh
I've got nowhere left to hide
It looks like love has finally found me

In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
I can't stop now, I've traveled so far
To change this lonely life

I wanna know what love is
I want you to show me
I wanna feel what love is
I know you can show me
I wanna know what love is
I want you to show me
And I wanna feel, I want to feel what love is
And I know, I know you can show me

Let's talk about love
(I wanna know what love is) the love that you feel inside
(I want you to show me) I'm feeling so much love
(I wanna feel what love is) no, you just cannot hide
(I know you can show me) yeah, woah-oh-ooh
I wanna know what love is, let's talk about love
(I want you to show me) I wanna feel it too
(I wanna feel what love is) I wanna feel it too
And I know, and I know, I know you can show me
Show me what is real, woah (woah), yeah I know
(I wanna know what love is) hey I wanna know what love
(I want you to show me), I wanna know, I wanna know, want know
(I wanna feel what love is), hey I wanna feel, love
I know you can show me, yeah
